Louise Johnson dominates at the Red Lion

    By Toxic M3 | March 2, 2008

History was made on Saturday, March 1st, at the Red Lion Hotel. Louise Johnson and Shalee Shannon were the first women ever in Colorado history to have a professional Womens MMA fight. The fight was to consist of 2, 5 minute rounds. However, it seems that 60 seconds would have been more than enough for Louise to sieze yet another win. It started out quickly, neither one hesitated to get a few off a few quick punches and a few kicks. Shannon then made the mistake of taking the fight to the ground. Shannon was initially on top, however within seconds, Louise managed reversal, and began the punishment. A barrage of fists to the face, and a couple of elbows were that was needed to render Shannon defeated. after 56 seconds the official called halt to the massacre (TKO due to strikes). Louise has started her professional career as undefeated, this will surely become a trend.

Great job Louise, so sorry I was not able to make it, I would have loved to seen you working your Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. I’ve got your email so I’ll be getting a hold of you soon, Congratulations on starting your pro career undefeated.

Congratulations on your first (of many, I’m sure) professional wins, Louise. All the best to you.

For those that missed the event, there is a 15 second video on youtube that captures the defining moment of the fight.

I could not have done it without all of the support in my corner. Im not sure what or who is next in line, but I will let everyone know as soon as I can. Thanks again.
