Tigers fall short against Regis; Dominate Thunder Ridge
By Toxic M3 | March 16, 2008
Tigers RFC played another two matches last weekend. The Tigers faced Regis Jesuit, the defending state champions on Friday night. The two teams played for the Colorado Catholic Highschool Trophy, which has been sought by the Tigers for four years. Unfortunately the Tigers will have to make their bid for the trophy next season with a losing score of 33-7. The Man of the Match was Josef Mack, who played Loose Head Prop and gave the Regis players a run for their money.
The Tigers did not fair so poorly against Thunder Ridge, who they played Saturday morning. This was designated as a B-Side game, however in lieu of the results of the last B-side match, there was a sprinkling of A-side players in the roster. Thunder Ridge was 4 players short, so the Tigers RFC lent them Josef Mack, Tim Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, and Jake Gossman. Despite their valiant efforts and the addition of Tigers players to their team, Thunder ridge was unable to pull out the win and suffered a 73-15 loss.
